Benchwork Specifications
The latest edition of Ejcml"module and member quality standards"
is
hereby incorporated into these specifications
Length of sections: 48" min. (may be any length in multiples of 24")
Length of sections: 24" min. (see allowable extensions)
Backdrop: Must extend minimum 14" above mainline rail height. 1/8" masonite is recommended affixed with 1/4" bold, washer, and T-Nut. One bolt is recommended every 24". Backdrop will be painted light blue. For modules wider than 24", side wings must be provided. Side wings shall extend forward to 20" back of track 1.
Height of surface: All modules will be 40" high from floor level to top of mainline rails. Legs shall be adjustable, at least 2.5", by means of a machine bolt and T-Nuts or other suitable means.
Framework: 1"x 4" straight pine screwed to gluing
blocks inside the frame. This allows keeping most of the scenery on each module
and to stack modules together for storage. Recommended cross bracing every
24".
