NUTS OR T-NUTS.
DIMENSIONS OF CROSS BRACES AND HARDWARE ARE NOT CRITICAL. THE IMPORTANT THING
IS TO SECURE THE LEGS IN A RIGID FASHION.
TRACK JOINING SECTIONS:
EACH MODULE SHALL BE EQUIPPED WITH THREE SECTIONS OF ATLAS NICKLE SILVER SNAP
TRACK, 9" LONG, TO FORM A CONNECTION WITH THE ADJOINING
MODULE.
EACH TRACK, ON EACH END OF THE MODULE, SHALL BE FIRMLY SPIKED AS CLOSE TO THE
JOINT AS POSSIBLE, AND SHALL HAVE THE ENDS PREPARED TO RECEIVE RAIL JOINERS
THAT CAN BE SLIPPED FAR ENOUGH TO PERMIT INSERTING THE "BRIDGE" PIECE
OF TRACK AFTER THE MODULES ARE CLAMPED.
TRACK CENTERS WILL BE LAID OUT USING THE CLUB JIG (A MUSTO ! )
ROADBED:
ROADBED SHALL BE TRU-SCALE PLAIN ROADBED OR CORK FOR THE MAINLINES. BRACH TRACKS
MAY USE ANY ROADBED MATERIAL.
TRACK:
NICKEL SILVER CODE 100, PLASTIC TIES, FOR ALL MAINLINES. BRANCH TRACKS MAY USE
ANY CODE (CODE 100 IS RECOMMENDED). NOTE EXTRA CARE SHOULD BE USED WHEN LAYING
TRACK. POOR TRACK WORK DETRACTS FROM THE DISPLAY BY APPEARING AS WEAVING MAINLINES
AND INCREASING THE CHANCES FOR DERAILMENTS.
TURNOUTS:
CODE 100 NICKEL SILVER #6 (MEDIUM) OR LARGER ON MAINLINES. CODE 100 NICKEL
SILVER #4 (SMALL) OR LARGER ON BRANCH LINES. THE BEST BRAND FOR DCC USE IS
PECO. ANY OTHER BRAND MUST BE APPROVED BY THE CLUB PRIOR TO USE.
SPACING TRACK CENTERS:
TRACKS ARE SPACED AT 4", 6", 8", OR 12" IN FROM THE FRONT
EDGE OF A STANDARD MODULE. DIMENSIONS ARE FROM THE FRONT (VIEWRS SIDE) AND
ARE MEASURED FROM THE EDGE OF THE MODULE TO THE CENTERLINE OF THE TRACK.
MINIMUM RADIUS IS 34" FOR THE MAINLINE TRACK GRADE:
THE MAIN LINES HAVE NO GRADIENT AND THE BRANCH LINES SHALL BE NO STEEPER THAN
2.5%. ALL THREE LINES MUST RETURN TO ZERO GRADE. WERE MAKING A STANDARD JOINT
BETWEEN MODULES. THE JOINT BETWEEN TWO MODULES BUILT AS A UNIT HAS NO
RESTRICTIONS.



METHOD
OF JOINING:
EACH MODULE SHALL BE EQUIPPED WITH "C" CLAMPS (2 EACH), 3" THREAD
AND CLAMP BOARDS AT EACH END.
